Description: This veneer is only sliced as a burr. The colour varies from yellowy brown to a warm reddish brown, often with darker markings running in random directions. Between the burrs themselves there are sometimes areas of wild grain or attractive, light reflecting ripples. Very pleasing matches can be made using these veneers and, apart from furniture, it has been used to great effect for special interior work. The veneer has the strong smell of camphor which is said to remain for maany years.
